Governor Gregoire established an Executive Oversight Committee in 2010 to serve as a single point of accountability for cost and schedule issues related to the Alaskan Way Viaduct Replacement Program. The committee receives updates from State, Seattle and King County departments of transportation, as well as Port of Seattle staff, on delivery of projects, including major milestones, contracting approach, risk management and expenditures.
Information provided to the committee is made available to the public to ensure accountability and transparency. The public is welcome to attend oversight committee meetings to listen to the presentations and provide written comments. Future meeting dates and locations will be listed under public events.
